Ferrum is a new brand proudly made in Poland by parent company HEM. HYPSOS is our firstborn, OOR our second and ERCO our third. These three siblings perform like nothing else right out of the box. Marry HYPSOS to one of the other two will unleash musical bliss.

We at HEM, Polish audio electronics designer and manufacturer and home of Ferrum, proudly introduce ERCO, a headphone DAC/AMP that could be the centre of any personal audio system.
We began our quest for honest sounding hifi gear at the foundation of every hifi chain. We set out to create a power supply that would disrupt the audio community. HYPSOS proved to be a great success, which was widely recognised by getting the coveted EISA award for best hifi accessory for 2021-2022, bestowed upon us by the leading hifi journalists from all over the world. We then set out to broaden our horizon.
Our second Ferrum product in line was the stunningly understated Ferrum headphone amplifier called OOR.

Ferrum is our legacy
When examining their roots, the new Ferrum team came to realise that the region where they all were born and worked for the latter part of their lives has a history of craftsmanship. One of those craftmanships was fuelled by the very large deposits of iron in the Warsaw area, which led to metallurgic specialism.
Another very well known craftsman who made his undisputed imprint in classical music history is of course world famous composer and virtuoso pianist Frederic Chopin. Being born in ‘Żelazowa Wola’, 42 kilometres from our company headquarters, it seems the ability to work and study extremely hard is embedded in the region. Like Chopin, Ferrum is destined to bring its musical craftsmanship to the rest of the world. The funny fact that Żelazo means iron in Polish, and points to the inspiration for brand name Ferrum.
